Who is responsible

The data controller is Umbr AB, company registration number 559512-5252, registered in Boden, Sweden. Gemak is a brand of Umbr AB. Questions about this page or about your data go to hej@gemak.se.

Cookies

This site uses no cookies. Neither our own nor anyone else. It also stores nothing in your browser storage.

That is why there is no consent banner. Consent is required for storage that is not strictly necessary, and here there is no storage at all.

No third party calls

The typefaces are served from our own server rather than fetched from Google Fonts. There are no analytics tools, no embedded maps, no share buttons and no images from anywhere else.

That means your browser only talks to gemak.se while you read this site, and no third party learns that you were here.

The contact form

If you send the form we receive what you filled in: name, company, e-mail, any phone number, what the project concerns and your description.

If you arrived by clicking an advertisement, Google puts a click id in the address. It travels with the form, so that we can see whether an enquiry came from an advert. It says nothing about who you are, nothing is stored in your browser, and no code from Google runs on the site. The id is deleted along with the rest when the matter is closed.

It arrives as e-mail in our mailbox and is kept there. We use it to reply to you and to work on the enquiry. The legal basis is legitimate interest, and steps taken at your request before a possible contract.

We do not sell data on, and we do not send newsletters you did not ask for.

The reporting channel

The reporting page is built so that it can be used anonymously. We do not ask for a name, and contact details are optional.

That page does not read your IP address, neither for spam protection nor for anything else. A report is sent without a reply address, so that a reply cannot accidentally reach someone who wanted to stay anonymous. Reports are read only by Gemak in Sweden and are never passed on to a supplier.

What we cannot promise is the network between you and us. If you visit the page from an employer network, that employer can see it, whatever we do at our end.

What the server logs

The contact form uses the sender IP address as a key, so that the same sender cannot submit an unlimited number of messages. The address sits in the server memory for a few minutes and is never written to any file.

The web server is configured to keep no access log. Technical errors are logged, but never the contents of a form.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept as long as they are relevant to the contact or to an ongoing project, and are cleared out after that. Material relating to a transaction is kept for as long as accounting law requires.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it erased once we no longer need it. Write to hej@gemak.se and we will sort it out.
